I'm giving it a 1 because it's number 1!

A biting satire on the current state of Hollywood, "After Iron Man of Steel Z" is both visually arresting and laugh-out-loud hysterical. In the future, be known as the text book example of the phrase "don't judge a book by its cover". The title will most definitely bring bad memories of horrible schlock like "The 41-Year-Old Virgin Who Knocked Up Sarah Marshall and Felt Superbad About It" to your mind, but do not be turned away. "After Iron Man of Steel Z" is legitimately funny, snarky and ironic in all the right ways: zombies drinking Pepsi are present to criticize World War Z's shameless product placement, Superman's methods of "saving" the city criticize the hero's callous disregard for his own destruction in "Man of Steel", and Will Smith's completely unnecessary presence perfectly highlights the banality of his most recent title, "After Earth". If you're not laughing, you're not getting it. (Because you're dumb.)

Overwhelming and extraordinary.

I must admit, when I first saw the title appear on the Flash Portal, my first reaction was "what the fuck is this shit?" But upon watching, I have to say that there has not been a single film I have seen this overwhelmingly... profound. But I am getting ahead of myself...

Fred Dancin' is marvelous, without question the most interesting film of the year. First, I must dissect the opening sequence - we first see Fred inquiring how he should spend his "Holloween." "Halloween" is intentionally misspelled to make an allusion to T.S. Eliot's "The Hollow Men," and it is used to great effect. We get a sense that each day for Fred is hollow, one filled with meaninglessness and self-destruction. The tone set here implies the rest of the film will continue this dark, foreboding approach... But then, just as the audience is thrown into a sense of dread, the classic 1-Hit Wonder of the 80s "Take On Me" begins to play, and we see Fred engage in a dance one can only describe as triumphant and jubilant. This is the moment where the film became brilliant - it plays on the audience expectations and completely shatters them to make the most profound statement I have ever seen in a movie: ignore this sense of dread and embrace the simple pleasures in life.

We then are treated to various visual images one can only describe as stunning. First is the close-up fade in of Fred's head next to his dancing body. This demonstrates that Fred is currently in a bit of an out of body experience, seeing himself dance from outside his physical self. Next is the multiplication of Fred's body, which is a clear example of how Fred desires to spread his jubilation with more than merely himself. This is amplified when we see Fred move across the world, dancing for people of all ages and races, backgrounds and genders. The feeling of happiness Fred wants to give to us is not biased or cynical - it is pure, legitimate bliss.

Words cannot describe the emotions that are brought forth from "Fred Dancin'". But what can be said is this: there is no other movie like it, and all who experience it will unquestionably be profoundly changed - for the better. I know I have been.

you win

i admit defeat

Finally, a real quality movie one Newgrounds

I was starting to think Newgrounds couldn't produce anything truly funny or well animated anymore, but this proved me wrong. Awesome work, I can't wait for the next one.

Waaaaaay better than the first

I'm thanked in the credits, hooray

Anyway, nice work on this one. You still did a lot of the "guy stops for no reason and doesn't try to defend himself" stuff, but it wasn't as weird this time. Some of the effects, like Krillin's disc attack, could've been done better, but again, it wasn't that bad. And please... Fix the grammar. It's not that important, but it gives the movie a more... "professional" feel.

Overall, nice work. Probably your best animating job, and I'm glad you got it finished.

Not bad at all.

It was pretty nicely animated, and It was an interesting movie all together.
You have some skill in Flash, I'd love to see some more.

Also, I love Led Zeppelin, and that's an awesome song. :D
